With our small group aboard, we travel north along the way we past an ever changing landscape. Passing many locations to discover one of South Australia’s gateway to your Outback Experience with diverse cultural and heritage places of interest, along the way combined with the vast and breathtaking scenery and sensational panoramic views of the Flinder's Ranges and isolation of the Outback

 Day 1: Adelaide to Wilpena Pound 460km Depart Adelaide 8.00am and travel to Wilpena Pound through the towns of Clare, Jamestown, Orroroo, for our early lunch. Onto Cradock stopping as required for photo opportunities to arrive at the Historic Hawker we visit the Jeff Morgan Gallery and see the Wilpena Pound Panorama painting. We continue on to Wilpena Pound and settle into our accommodation. Taking advantage of our daylight we step back in time and visit Old Wilpena Station Homestead and visit Cazenaux tree(L,D) 

 Day 2 Wilpena Pound to Iga Warta 260km With an early start we walk to the historical Hills Homestead walking via sliding rock along Wilpena creek. Wangarra Lookout will give you some panoramic views of Wilpena pound. We then travel through Bunyeroo Gorge and Brachina Gorge. We stop at the renowned Prairie Hotel at Parachilna for lunch to indulge in some”flinders feral food,”wild fruits, kangaroo fillet, emu eggs or perhaps wallaby stir fry. Vegetarian options also. Continuing our tour we stop at Leigh creek coalfield, and on to our day two stop over, at Iga Warta Aborional Cultural Centre and stay in a Safari tent * accommodation and enjoy traditional country cooking and activities* (B, L,D)

Day 3 Iga Warta to Arkaroola 80 km Todays activites begin with breakfast, then on to our early cultural Plant Tour .As we thank the Coultard familyof the Adnyamathanha People, at 10:00am it’s off Arkaroola via Italowie Gorge and Balcanoona, to arrive in Arkaroola at 11:30 in time for our 4.5 hour and very well known and recomended Ridge Top Tour with spectacular view's, from Sillars lookout in this wilderness outback region. Upon your return and settle into your accommodation to freshen up. Evening brings an early dinner so you have time to view the night sky from the Arkaroola Observatory. (Option) based on weather onthe day .Overnight Arkaroola (B,L,D)                                                        

Day 4 Arkaroola to Innamincka 450 km We depart Arkaroola Wilderness Sanctury after an early breakfast at 8 am. We travel back through to Balcanoona before our very big drive some 430km to Innamincka, taking care as we venture into deep outback, allowing adequate time with rest stops (6 to 8 hours based on conditions). Along the way stopping at Monte Collina, this site was the first drilled bore site used for traveling stock of the day along the Strzelecki Track. Later on after we pass the Moomba lookout we arrive in remote Innamincka and after settling into our accommodation, bring an early dinner and bed (for me) Overnight Innamincka (B,L,D).

Day 5 Innamincka to Dig tree & return 200 km After our big day yesterday the pace is much slower ,as we discover the mighty Cooper Creek . After an early lunch we pop over the border in to Qld and pay homage to our explorers as we visit the Burke & Wills Dig Tree site then return to Overnight Innamincka (B,L,D)

Day 6 Innamincka to Lyndhurst 450km Today we travel back along the Strzelecki Track, as this stretch is also a long way. At some point we have a picnic lunch along the track .We continue on the track with care to arrive in Lyndhurst just on dark ,at this point fall into bed after dinner at the pub / basic cabin accommodation Overnight Lyndhurst (B,L,D).

Day 7 Lyndhurst to Marree and William Creek 220km  After breakfast, we stop at historical Farina and onto Marree, at this point you may choose to take a Lake Eyre1.5 hour Scenic flight experience ex Marree.*(Not Included)..After lunch from Marree we travel along the Oodnadatta track, we call into Coward Springs for a pit stop, and wonder at the isolation, the explorer experienced the buildings of the old Ghan Railway line,before arriving in William Creek .Overnight William Creek (B,L,D).

Day 8 William Creek to Coober Pedy 200km  After a great William Creek breakfast its time to hit the road, before we do this we have an option at this point you can take advantage (Not Included).of Wright Air and take a 1 hour famous Painted Hills scenic flight. Later we follow the Outback Mail Run's well used road, to arrive in Coober Pedy later in the day,then we settle into our accommodation and evening meal. Overnight Coober Pedy (B,L,D)

Day 9Coober Pedy Area tour 20 km With a fresh start and after a country breakfast. Today it’s local time in Coober Pedy with various activity and tour options of the township and surrounding areas, maybe even do some Noodling, and with time to Opal Shop at the source. (Note the tour options are not detailed for operational reasons) Dinner and accommodation, Overnight Coober Pedy.(B,L,D)

Day 10 Coober Pedy to Woomera 350km  After breakfast we depart Coober Pedy for our drive to Woomera along the way we stop at various locations for comfort stops and lunch. Taking in the wide open and changing landscape before we know it we are arriving in the Rocket centre Woomera then we settle into our accommodation and evening meal. Overnight Woomera (B,L,D)

Day 11 Woomera to Pt Augusta 180km After an the early morning exploring the Rockets and Equipment in Woomera, we later travel onto the, Australian Arid Lands Botanic Gardens, here we take a break and after lunch we take a walk and discover the variety of plants with a 1-2 hour native plan tour. On into Pt Augusta we also visit Wadlata Cultural Centre1-2 hour tour. Overnight Pt Augusta.(B,L,D)

Day 12 Pt Augusta to Adelaide 320km After our breafast its time for one last activity, a relaxing 2 hour River Cruise along part of the Spencer gulf. We depart Pt Augusta after our farewell lunch for our return to Adelaide. Arrival in Adelaide is about 4pm ( either direct to Airport for connecting flights interstate)or city Hotel.
